Parents' Program
The informative sessions focus on parenting, life skills, personal growth, and life direction. |
Baby and Me
Parents (with infants birth to walking) share information and support. Occasional visits with Public Health Nurse, who answers questions and weighs babies. Infant Rhyme Time offered. |
Children's Program
Offered at the same time as the parents programs, KCFRC provides a positive learning experience while fostering peer interaction through play. |
Toddler Rhyme Time
An enjoyable program for families, with a child walking to 3-years, TRT focuses on rhymes and songs. Singing games and movement to music are part of each session. |
Playful Pals Playgroup
For children, birth to school age and parent/caregiver, this is an interactive play-time which aims to promote positive peer interaction through age appropriate activities and language opportunities. |
Prenatal Classes
KCFRC offers an extensive prenatal class for expectant women and their supportive person, in partnership with Public Health and various other professionals. Participants receive the latest information related to expectant women. |

Take a relaxing hour for yourself, have a coffee and enjoy some adult conversation. |
Tots 'n' Tales
This is a parent-child (3-5 yrs.) interactive time of songs and movement, stories, rhymes and crafts. |
The Toy Lending Library
Toys, videos, games and books for children and parent resource library are available here. |
Tumblebugs
This is a parent-child interactive program for children aged 3-5 years and a parent or caregiver. The program guides basic movement activities appropriate for early childhood. Limited to six families each 10 week program. |

KCFRC Family Home Day Care Agency
FHDA helps connect families needing childcare with screened and monitored care providers.
Portable child care subsidies can be utilized through FHDA. FHDA also supports in-home caregivers to establish their own child care operation. |
Women’s Wellness Program We feel that taking care of you is very important! Join us for our informative, fun sessions. Child care is provided. |
School Readiness
This Program is for children who will begin public school in September 2012. Due to overwhelming demand and limited space, this program is limited to children who are not attending other school readiness programs. |
Write with Me!
Wednesday March 22-May 23, 9:30-11:30 AM
Parents/caregivers and their preschool children create their own meaningful story together. Childcare is provided for siblings. Participants attend Information Session on March 21 at 10:00 a.m. At that session, appointments will be made with each family individually, to create their stories. All participants may not attend every week. Books will be ready for Session 10, May 23.
